The Children of Men director originally wanted Jolie - but she spurned the role when she found out she would have to share screen time with a leading man, according to celebrity insider Frank DiGiacomo. Scarlett's Iron-Man 2 co-star Robert Downey Jr. is now tipped to be her co-star in Gravity, too.
DiGiacomo says Cuarón is touting Gravity as 'the most ambitious film, technology-wise, since Avatar.'The movie will follow the adventures of the female lead as she tries to return home to Earth and her daughter after a space mission goes wrong.
